FVST is project partner in I.DEAR Programm (Ingenieure Deutschland - Argentina)

18.08.2015 -

The Faculty of Process and Systems Engineering has been included into the I.DEAR 2015 programme by the German-Argentinian University Center (DAHZ) scientific committee; the Universidad Nacional del Sur (UNS) in Bahia Blanca's Department of Chemical Engineering is the partner on the Argentinian side. The city is located in eastern Argentina and has a population of about 280 000.

The goal is mutual student exchanges, whereby study credits are earned at the partner university, as well as fostering cooperative research; from 2016 to 2019, a total of approximately 200 000 EUR are available to these ends. At OVGU, the programme is being coordinated by our international office.

Background: The I.DEAR programme is a bilateral programme that fosters exchange projects for engineering study programmes between Argentina and Germany (undergraduate programmes in Argentina, undergraduate and Master's programmes in Germany). The programme’s goal is to strengthen collaboration in the area of engineering between German and Argentinian universities through the exchange of students and scientists and as such create new impulses for teaching, research, and technological innovation in both countries. Within the framework of the I.DEAR programme, interculturally versed and multilingual professionals are trained for the European as well as the Latin American job market.

The programme was first advertised in 2014 and is coordinated by the Deutsch-Argentinischen Hochschulzentrum (DAHZ) and the Centro Universitario Argentino-Alemán.
